This is an open challenge to all psychics out there. I have devised a simple test that anyone can partake in that may bring some credence to whether or not a persons psychic abilities exist or not. Now, let me be clear that this does not prove someone has psychic gifts, nor does it adhere to the various kinds of psychic phenomena that is believed to exist. It is a simple challenge that anyone is open and welcome to partake in, however, please read the rules before you begin.

THE CHALLENGE:
I have sealed an object (1 item) in a box and placed the box containing the object on the top of my bookshelf/desk so that it rests by itself. On the shelves themselves are various books and encylopedias, a television, router and modem, and some art materials on the very bottom shelves. The box sits alone on the very top of the shelf. There are no objects on the top shelf as they have been cleared off to make room for the box and to alleviate any possible miscues.

RULES & GUIDELINES
Anyone partaking will have 3 (three) and only 3 chances at providing me with the correct object that sits within the box. You may provide all three answers at once, or take your time and answer the three over a period of time. No more than three answers will be accepted by each person partaking in the challenge.

Only one person per household may partake in the challenge (due to IP address conflicts)

Deleting your answer will result in an immediate disqualification. If you double post, please be sure to PM a moderator before you delete as not to bring about any confusion.

To ensure to all those that I do not change what is contained within the box, I am posting the contents within a private section of the forums (The moderators & staff section) and will only provide the answer after the time period of the challenge has ended by moving the topic to the public section of the Psychic abilities section.

The Challenge will run from today 12-21-2008 until 2-1-2009. After the challenge has ended, I will provide the correct answer as well as all data involved with the challenge itself.

Registering or creating new accounts to increase your chances for the challenge will result in all of your answers being thrown out of the challenge and a ban on your IP address from the forums. Harassment of any mods or admin to get the answer will result in a suspension of your account until after the challenge period.

All answers must be presented as a reply to this topic only. Private Messages, emails, and other forms of communication will not be accepted as an answer.

Please be sure to write down whether you believe you are psychic or not. UPDATE: please include the kind of psychic abilities you have as well.

THE RESULTS OF THE CHALLENGE

A total of 336 participants took the challenge -

over 600 answers were submitted.

0% provided a correct answer

27% claimed to have psychic abilities or might have psychic abilities in some way shape or form.

1.2% have tried or attempted remote viewing based off their responses.




So what was in the box?



A pair of black Sony headphones.


It is interesting to note that many answers were very similar. This could have been influenced by my opening statements, judgments based off my association with other people, and even my signature. I chose to do it this was as outside influences effect the outcome of a psychics abilities to read on a daily basis.

I do want to thank everyone that took this challenge, it was certainly fun and interesting to see so many different responses. I also wanted to point out that this does not prove that psychics do not have the abilities that they claim, as there are varying types of claimed abilities. There have been tests that have supported possible psychic abilities in controlled laboratory testing. This is not a laboratory, nor a controlled experiment.

Thanks again and dont forget to try the PSYCHIC CHALLENGE II which is a challenge for psychic readers, and others alike. Try your luck, maybe your intuition is better than you think it is.
