Ron Paul e' um dos mais, se nao o mais, sensatos na atual politica americana. Nao e' so no Brasil que temos problemas com eleitores alienados.

Qualquer sistema de pensamento pode ser racional, pois basta que as suas conclusões não contrariem as suas premissas.

Mas isto não significa que este sistema de pensamento tenha correspondência com a realidade objetiva, sendo este o motivo pelo qual o conhecimento científico ser reconhecido como a única forma do homem estudar, explicar e compreender a Natureza.

Impressionante. Simplesmente acertou, pela lógica, o que iria ocorrer nos próximos 10 anos com a política cagada dos EUA para o mundo árabe.

Ele é extremamente consistente em suas observações e eu discordo do grau que ele vai no libertarianismo econômico (que poderia ser utilizado como remédio para o Brasil mas não para os EUA) mas enfim, política externa não há o que dizer.

Respondendo parcialmente a pergunta do tópico: Não é uma surpresa libertários e progressivistas concordarem em alguns assuntos, já que ambos tem simpatias consideráveis com a não-intervenção estatal em "crimes sem vítimas", se opõe ao Estado Corporativo, ao Estado-Espião e a Intervenção militar sistemática ao redor do Globo, por motivos obviamente distintos (Libertários não gostam de "Big State" em geral, Progressivistas gostam de intervenção estatal, desde que ela promova sua agenda social).

E claro, o motivo mais trivial: Ambos fazem oposição ao estabilishment político norte-americano, que é uma mistura pragmática das alas da Direita Religiosa e dos Neocons do Partido Republicano com os Democratas da ala Social-Democrata (Tanto os Liberais quanto os Centristas).
