Libya cartoon rally sparks clash
Hundreds of demonstrators in Libya have clashed with police after trying to storm an Italian consulate during protests over the Muhammad cartoons.
An official at the consulate in the city of Benghazi told Italy's Ansa news agency that at least nine people had been killed and 55 injured.
Consulate windows were reportedly broken and nearby cars set alight.
Ansa said the rally had been a response to recent remarks by Italian minister Roberto Calderoli about the cartoons.
