Porem alguns detalhes sao indignantes.
"Rape victims could end up in a pharmacy not understanding this pharmacy will not meet their needs," Greenberger said. "We've seen an alarming development of pharmacists over the last several years refusing to fill prescriptions, and sometimes even taking the prescription from the woman and refusing to give it back to her so she can fill it in another pharmacy."
Seriously, one cannot train to be a pharmacist and not realize that you will have to fill these types of perscriptions at some point in your professional life. Don't feel like doing it? There's a simple solution, don't become a pharmacist. Go train to become a plumber or a mechanical engineer or anything else but a healthcare professional.
This sort of thing really scares me. My mom will tell stories when she lived in a rural area and had to drive 15 min to get to the nearest pharmacy. If she was too late and the pharmacy had closed she was out of luck and had to wait until the next day or drive another half hour (not easy to do if you have a lower income and have only one car in the household). What about the women who are limited in their options due to such things as distance or cost? A working single mother may not have time to try 6 pharmacies in her town and with today's rising gas prices she might not be able to afford it.
This sort of thing pisses me off.
P.S. A quem interessar, achei a noticia neste forum aqui:
